Losing Weight!

So I woke up this morning and I weighed myself. I'm down 6 lbs! Pretty great way to start the day.

Today's workout @ 4pm:

7x3 Push Press @ 77#

then, As Many Rounds as Possible (AMRAP) in 20 minutes:

10 yd Bear Crawl
20 Kettlebell (KB) swings @ 53#
30 Sumo Deadlift High Pulls (SDHP) with 53# KB

I only got 3 rounds + bear crawl + 20 swings + 25 SDHP. Those 53# KB swings felt really heavy! Liz and I debated before we started about whether or not we should do it Rx. Max had told us the other day that he wants us to sub down to lighter weight on certain workouts so that we can go faster. I think this was a perfect example of that type of workout, but we chose wrong and ended up going heavy. The SDHP were fine, the bear crawl felt like a rest, but 20 KB swings at 53# was brutal. Hopefully next time we'll be smarter about the weight we choose on something like this. It's just hard to scale down when you're capable of the Rx weight.

I coached onboarding at 6. Tonight was session 5 of 6. It's awesome to see how much this group has already improved since day 1. I'm looking forward to seeing in the regular group next week.

Today's Food:
9am- 2 eggs, 1 cheese, 1 Tbsp. peanut butter
1pm- 4 oz. ropa vieja
5pm- 4 oz. ropa vieja
8pm- 3 oz. chicken with veggies and 1 Tbsp. peanut butter

Blah.

  2. Thanks, Danielle! I was pretty pumped and little surprised after indulging on Sunday. Glad to know that one cheat day a week won't derail all the hard work I put in the other 6 days and I two more days I get to cheat again! ;-)
